Review
I have not finished this book yet but am loving what I have learned so far. It is fascinating to learn about how Iconography flourished in spite of the government crack down on religion. For some reason the government allowed the then currant icons to be housed in the museums thereby relegating them to art so as to remove their religious significance. This is a book I am reading slowly, taking notes and savoring its information.
