Desciption
Scarred both physically and emotionally after a motorcycle accident, twenty-five year old ex fashion model and porn star Oliver Brown is about to be stripped bare by flamboyant twink Leslie Scott—and they’ll rebuild love from the bottom up. BARING THE BEASTTwenty-five year old Oliver Brown is addicted. Two years ago, he was at the height of his career as “Nikki Star,” fashion model, porn actor, partier without peer. Then came the accident. Hiding his scars, both emotional and physical, he’s gone into hiding. But fine clothing is some solace. A new suit by Debussy? Better even than a ride on his motorcycle Hulk or all the things he used to give and take on camera.Enter Leslie Scott, the flamboyant, dark-haired, heel-and-tiny-short-wearing twink sent to deliver Oliver’s newest fix. A firecracker, Leslie is dapper, generous, in touch with his feminine side but all man, and as gorgeous as any garment ever made. He makes Oliver dream of ending his reclusion, of recapturing a future forever denied him. But for that to happen, Leslie would have to strip him to the bone. Only then will they rebuild life from the bottom up.
Review
3 Stars!!Leslie, character we met before in the two previous books in the series, is a proud flamboyant twink that works at a local fashion house providing exclusive man and women’s suits. He loves his job, his loves his life and he loves his friends and he secretly wants what his two best friends have – love. He wants to be in a serious relationship more than anything, to care for someone and someone to care for him. He knows he’s a little high maintenance, but he can only hope. One day when he is sent by his boss to deliver a suit to an important client, he’s more than shocked when he discovers the client is his favorite porn star, Oliver Brown, who retired a few years ago. Leslie doesn’t know many details about Oliver’s retirement, but he’s dying to know what happened with him and what did he dis all these years. Oliver is damaged. Years ago he was involved in a motorcycle accident that scarred him. He has fears and insecurities and he feels staying isolated it’s for the best. He’s a bit of a hermit, having occasional ‘dates’ with discreet escorts from an agency.Leslie is attracted to Oliver, but he can say the other man is not looking for a relationship, so all he wants is for them to become friends. He is insistent and eventually Oliver agrees to go out with him as friends. As the story progresses, Oliver starts to want more and to realize that Leslie really cares for him and he doesn’t see him as a monster. But he’s not completely convinced by this fact, so when someone tries to hurt him emotionally, Oliver feels too insecure to continue his relationship with Leslie. “Suit Yourself” was a pretty light, easy to read novel with two likeable characters, a lovely romance and an enjoyable plot. Leslie was a great character from the beginning. I loved his personality and I have to say he’s my favorite character in the series. He’s a kind man and a great friend, he’s good at his job and he knows what he wants from a relationship. He’s gorgeous and smart, funny and witty, loyal and caring. Oliver was likeable as well and I really sympathize with him. He’s a little damaged, but with Leslie’s help he eventually realizes he deserves to be happy and to have a significant other. I liked the fact there’s no insta-love or insta-lust, even if both men are attracted with each other. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed and also how Leslie tries to be there for Oliver when he needs someone to talk to. There’s a little amount of angst and drama, but nothing too heavy. It was great to meet again the other characters from the previous books in the series and to see them all interact with each other.Overall, a good read!
