Astra has a tendency to write funny stories with very original details around a strong core. This book continues the story of Dollitrice and her ... well, dungeon, a village that was under her care that transformed according to rules that allowed her to preserve it, despite the villagers not exactly trusting her happily.The result is that you get a dungeon story that manages to lean into the genre, while having a core of steel at its heart that makes it worth reading even if you're looking for more than stories about monsters against ... anything. You can read it for escapism, which is fine, or you can read it for the details behind it, and that makes it a story worth pursuing.
